This is an interesting use of a fake tattoo in a very upscale brand advertisement. The ad is for eye wear, but the use of the tattoo seems to play on the genre of people getting their favorite brands tattooed on their body. Chanel is attempting to portray that people do love this brand that much. I am sure that there are some people that do, whether or not they would get the C's tattooed on their shoulder is another thing entirely.
